God is using Paul Dudley and his team at Eternal Pastime to bless the work in Cuba. Our first contact with Paul's ministry goes back over 10 years ago, when he graciously sent sports equipment for us to share on the island with groups who were using sports to reach Cubans for Christ. That work has continued to expand. Praise the Lord for this Gospel ministry!

This morning a father shared with our church that he is 25 days clean from meth. The way he got there was through his son playing baseball in Rockaway Beach and said he would not be there if it was not for this program. This dad has been stung (drunk) or high at every practice and game we had. Today he stood sober and told the church he was there today because of baseball. Thanks for pouring in to our community.

I've seen a sweaty, smiling kid walk away barefooted, wearing one of my old baseball jerseys. There is no doubt Eternal Pastime's philosophy and simplicity made him feel like an MVP that day. No matter how you support Eternal Pastime--making equipment donations, rallying financially or telling others about this trustworthy ministry--you are helping kids feel like MVPs and, at the same time, encouraging them to consider becoming an MVP for eternity.

Last year God connected me with Paul Dudley of Eternal Pastime. Eternal Pastime is a not-for-profit ministry that seeks to provide baseball and other equipment to like-minded ministries. Paul loaded up a small U-Haul trailer full of equipment and drove from Missouri to Florida to donate some shoes, uniforms, and equipment in March 2019. Sadly, and rather shockingly, Paul went on to be with the Lord. Most of the contents from the U-Haul went on to be a blessing in Venezuela and I know Paul is smiling down knowing that all the contents arrived safely in Venezuela to be a blessing to our FCA Academy Athletes.
